How do I become a student?

Admission process at glance

Chemistry master studies at the Comenius University offer a challenging curriculum providing the students with the insight into the dynamically evolving discipline that is chemistry. This means, that prospective students are required to have a strong chemistry background from their bachelor studies to succeed.

If you studied chemistry, or similar subjects such as biochemistry, as the main focus of your bachelor studies, and you wrote your bachelor thesis on a chemical topic, you can be admitted without any entrance examination. Otherwise, entrance examination is needed.

Entrance examination

If you have strong chemistry background from your bachelor studies, you can be admitted directly without any entrance examinations. To be eligible, you need to have chemistry or similar subjects (e.g. biochemistry) as your major during your bachelor studies, and you also have to finish your studies by writing a bachelor thesis on a chemical topic (thesis has to be submitted before you enroll into the master studies, it does not have to be finished on the date of the application). If chemistry was not your major (e.g. you studied general science, or natural sciences for your bachelor) you have to go an through entrance examination. Also, if your bachelor program does not require you to write a bachelor thesis to graguate, you have to go through an entrance examination.
