Living in Bratislava
Bratislava is a vibrant international city - the only capital city in Europe, that has a border with two other countries. It is close to major airports in Vienna, Budapest and Prague, and a hub for rail and bus network. Comenius University (CU) offers reasonably-priced student dormitories to the students, in walking distance from the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
Outreach
Teachers and students from the Faculty of Natural Sciences of CU are active in popularization science and training of talented high school students. Participation in these activities allows students to hone their people skills and organizational talent.
Feel the nature
Faculty of Natural Sciences of CU is placed near the forests of the Carpathian mountains. This allows for ample hiking opportunities. For fans of plants and animals, both botanical garden and the ZOO are close by. As living nature is both the study subject as well as the favorite element of many of its students, environmental volunteer programs are available.
Free time
Comenius University (CU) offers many activities for foreign students, allowing them to socialize and experience the local culture. Clubs and bars in the vicinity of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and the dormitories provide opportunities for party, including PrifUK party, specifically organized for the students. Sports are also widely available, and include excursions on canoes or hiking trips organized by the CU.
